YOUR FIRST ALERT FORECAST FROM THERESA BRYANT

After a cool start to the day on Saturday, temperatures quickly recovered into the 70's and 80's for many locations. This was all courtesy of high pressure, brilliant sunshine and brisk southerly winds. More warmth and moisture will build into the region ahead of a front pushing in from the plains. This means rain chances will return for Father's Day, with showers and thunderstorms across the region. After a brief break in the action early Monday, look for a period of unsettled weather across the region, with off and on showers and thunderstorms through the end of the work week. Highs should reach the 80's with lows in the 60's.

TONIGHT: Increasing cloudiness by evening with a slight chance for showers and thunderstorms developing toward morning. Low: 63°. Wind: S10-20 mph.

SUNDAY: Mostly cloudy with showers and thunderstorms likely during the day. Slight risk that some storms could become severe. High: 81°. Wind: S 15-25 mph

SUNDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy and breezy with lingering showers and thunderstorms. Low: 66°. Wind: SW 10-15 mph.

MONDAY: Partly cloudy and very warm. High: 87°. Wind: S 5-15 mph.
