More than thirty area community leaders are in Washington D.C. discussing jobs and how to bring more of them the Quad Cities. It's another push to get the Q.C. recognized as a regional manufacturing innovation hub. Senator Charles Grassley say they also discussed other issues including one that he says could greatly impact Iowa.
"The EPA regulation on the clean air ozone requirement regulation and if those regulations were to go through, every community in the state of Iowa would probably be a pollutant. So that would be very detrimental to economic development," said Grassley.
The group also discussed transportation and infrastructure like the I-74 bridge and as well as the importance of the Rock Island Arsenal.
