Four Aledo Walmart pharmacy employees are in hot water after the company says they were stealing prescription drugs.
Tara Speck, Laura Diehl, Robert Osborn and Paul Dewilde are all being charged with possession of controlled substance and forgery.
Police say they were filling prescriptions for themselves, claiming a doctor had ordered them when one hadn't. Two other employees did have prescriptions from their doctors but were changing the order to give themselves more pills.
Police say the employees did not sell the medicine and took it for personal use.
"It's a growing problem," substance abuse counselor Mary Engholm said. "It's a growing problem in our area. It's a growing problem nationwide. We're seeing more and more of this."
All four are expected to be back in Mercer County court next month.
