Drivers across the QCA are being asked not to park along some city streets as crews work to remove snow.
Davenport's snow emergency is in effect now and has been extended. Davenport's downtown area has its own snow emergency and violators could be ticketed or towed.
"They're bad, they're deep," driver Monty Long said. "The snow is deep. So I wouldn't recommend going on a rural road unless you have 4-wheel drive"
"Just the wind blowing across the road all the time fighting the drifts all the time," Louisa County snow plow driver Chad Grimm said. "Probably the worse thing we have to fight."
Difficult driving conditions for motorists as well as snow plower drivers earlier today in Muscatine.
Wind drifts created white out conditions which made it hard for anybody to see. Since the snow has stopped, some crews have been back out to clear the roads and crews say they may not need to lay ice melt materials down on the roads since warmer temperatures are expected.
