Thousands of dollars worth of comic books taken from a Rock Island store and now police are looking for the suspect.
It happened at Tim's Corner Comic Bookstore on 30th Street and 14th Avenue. It's been a part of the Rock Island community for more than 30 years.
Police say someone or a group of people burst through the front door and stole high-priced comic books. A worker at the store says older comic books are worth more than the new ones, which is likely why they were taken.
There's a guess that there was about 300-400 comic books taken worth upwards of $9-10k," said Marty Hancock. "That's how lucrative it can be."
Police took finger and shoe prints from the scene but they don't have any leads or suspects right now.
They ask if you have any information about this to contact them.
