Davenport city leaders approved a proposal that redevelops the old Dock Restaurant site.
It's been the subject of heated debate. While many talked last week about how they wanted something to replace the Old Dock restaurant that was lost to fire years ago, they are conflicted about the scope of its proposed replacement.
It would be an 85,000 square foot building with retail and restaurants on the first floor, office space on two and three, and banquet space on four, costing $24 million dollars.
Some were concerned about river views but tonight the council plans to move forward with the project anyway with a unanimous vote.
