Officials say a motorcyclist suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries in a collision on Highway 67 Sunday afternoon.

The crash, which involved the motorcycle and another car, happened just after 2 p.m. at the intersection of State Street (Highway 67) and Fenno Road in Riverdale, near Bettendorf.

The Scott County Sheriff's Office says the car, driven by Sarah Elliot of Taylor Ridge, Illinois, was making a left hand turn from Fenno Road to go east on State Street when she pulled out in front the motorcycle. The motorcycle was sent into a skid, coming to a stop more than 200 feet from the site of the crash. The motorcyclist was ejected.

The motorcycle driver was transported to Genesis East Hospital with several injuries. That person's name is not being released at this point, pending family notification.

The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The driver of the car was issued a citation for Failure to Obey a Stop or Yield Sign.

The accident remains under investigation.
