ISC Officials Say This Year's World Tournament Better Than Expected

Posted: Updated:

The International Softball Congress' fast pitch softball tournament wrapped up Saturday. This is the 3rd time in the last 5-years the event has come to The Quad Cities.

Forty-eight softball teams from seven countries competed at The Milt Hand Complex at Green Valley Park in Moline.

ISC officials say this year's turnout was a lot better than expected.

"We hit the attendance predictions early on in the week so we're beyond or above expectations there, and I think looking around the ballpark particularly at nights when winner bracket games, the crowds have been fantastic," said Dean Oscar, President of the ISC.

Oscar also says good weather played a huge role in bringing in the crowds. They hope next year's turnout will be just as great, if not better.
