Police caught two suspects they say could be linked to 16 burglaries in Davenport and Bettendorf.

Ronald Lam Jr., 28,  Justin Butler, 22, are charged with second degree burglary and conspiracy.

Police say they believe the crimes are linked because of the similar way the suspects entered the home. They would cut through the screens of windows or come in through unlocked doors.

"I wanted the police to get busy and find these guys and it sounds like they did," said victim Sonya Fisher. "And I'm very, very happy they did."

Police were able to track Lam and Butler down through the use of stolen credit cards.

"Very similar to other burglaries, how they did this one," said Assistant Davenport Police Chief Don Schaeffer. "We're very confident these are our East End burglars and the Bettendorf burglaries."

Neighbors say they are relieved the suspects were caught although one of the men, Lam, is out on bond. Butler remains behind bars on a $10,000 bond.
