Andover Home Destroyed by Fire

Investigators are looking for the cause of a fire that destroyed a Clinton-area home.

That fire left a family with nothing, despite the efforts of dozens of firefighters from eight different departments on scene battling the blaze.

Crews were called to the 4300 block of 135th Street in Andover, just north of the Almont Tap, around 1 p.m. Sunday.

They spent hours there, working to knock down flames.

We're told no one was in the house when firefighters arrived.

Officials are still working to determine the cause of the fire, but they say what they know now is that it started in the garage.
