Iowa Governor Terry Branstad is in Europe this weekend for a trade mission.
He's traveling to Germany, Italy, Kosovo, and Switzerland on this trip with his wife, which started Saturday.
The price tag for this trip is about $17,000. It is paid for by the Iowa Economic Development Authority Foundation, not state funding.
As part of the trade mission, Iowa is establishing a sister-state relationship with Kosovo.
It will be the ninth such agreement for Iowa.
