Emergency crews from several cities responded to the Prophetstown State Park Sunday to look for a man who went missing in the Rock River.
Police responded to the river around 5 PM, according to two locals who were on the dock at the time.
These two experienced boaters said the current is very strong on this section on the Rock River - and inexperienced swimmers shouldn't be anywhere near it.
Saukvalley.com - a local paper near Prophetstown reported that police were looking for a man in his 20's.
At least 10 different city search boats responded to search for the body - Prophetstown, Fulton and Dixon were just some of the boats in the water.
Some of the crews started to pull of the water when the sun started to set.
Some stayed out - using search lights and search dogs to try and locate the body.
