All the sunshine we're seeing now makes it easy for some of us to forget just how bad the recent flooding was. For others, still picking up the pieces, those memories are all too fresh.
On Sunday, one area community came together to help those flood victims out.
They put together what became a sort of spontaneous benefit at the Avenue Cat in Silvis.
Dozens of people turned out to donate items for people in Barstow, East Lawn and Carbon Cliffs - some of the areas hit hardest by the floods.
That donation drive will now continue through the end of May.
Anyone in need of items is asked to go to the Avenue Cat and sign up.
