Red Cross Continues to Hand Out Flood Cleanup Kits

The American Red Cross will be providing aid to individuals impacted by local flooding at four sites across the QCA on Sunday.

The sites where cleanup supplies will be available are:

Henry County:

Colona Fire Station

401 1st Street

Colona, Illinois


Atkinson Fire Station

101 East Henry Street

Atkinson, Illinois


Scott County:

Davenport Fire Station #3

3506 North Harrison Street

Davenport, Iowa


Rock Island County:

American Red Cross of the Quad Cities Area

1100 River Drive

Moline, Illinois

Individuals impacted by flooding can pick up supplies from each of the sites from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 28, 2013.

The American Red Cross is providing food, supplies, emotional support and health services in flooded communities in the Midwest and supporting sandbagging operations in nearby states that are preparing for flooding.

More than 500 Red Cross staff and volunteers across the Midwest have served more than 50,000 meals and snacks and handed out nearly 13,000 relief items to date.

In the Midwest River Region, the Red Cross has opened three shelters, with one in Davenport, Iowa remaining open.
