The day after a fatal fire claimed the lives of five people in rural Sherrard the community continues to band together in grief, and to help families of the victims.
"We all know people in these small communities that was touched by all these people so that's the reason, just to help," said Dan Beattie, a local business owner.
"As much as we can help, I'm sure the community will help, just come together," said Cassidy Fontenoy, an 8th grader at Sherrard Jr. High.
Four children at a sleep over and one adult were killed. Today we know Anna Viager and her daughter, Breana, were among them. Three other girls, Cassi Turner, Holli Harker and Jessica Harker died in the blaze. People and businesses in Sherrard and nearby communities are showing support in anyway they can through donations and well wishes. On Monday, students plan to wear blue in their honor.
