A group of lifetime Girl Scout members reached an agreement with the organization over the fate of the four Iowa camps.
"There was a notification issue that we had with notifying our current members, so the board meeting is not going to happen," said Diane Nelson, CEO of Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois.
Today the Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois Organization agreed to cancel Thursday's board's vote on closing the camps.
The organization wanted to sell the camps to build a new outdoor learning center.
Instead, the board will only discuss and review the recommendation and will share information with all Girl Scout members.
