It was a glamorous game of bingo for area brides-to-be Sunday.
Hundreds of future brides and their families gathered in the Hotel Blackhawk's Gold Room for this fundraiser, which benefits Vander Veer Botanical Park.
It provided an afternoon of fun to break up the stress and strain of planning a wedding.
It also provided prizes that would certainly lighten the load when it comes to pricey wedding day purchases, including photography packages, linens, and flowers.
While brides and bingo may not seem like an obvious pairing, organizers say it's a match made in heaven:
"It just seemed like a logical choice. We want to get brides to the park, and it was just a fun event to raise a lot of money," Christine Van Vooren said.
Organizers say the proceeds from the event will do a great deal to fund ongoing education programs and park projects, including a new conservatory.
