If you love to eat, this is your week. Restaurant Week here in the Quad Cities started this Sunday.
Twenty-six local eateries have come together to get people out and enjoying Quad City dining. All of the restaurants are offering special lunch and dinner deals.
Restaurant Week has been very successful in other cities. Cities like St. Louis, Chicago, and Minneapolis have all done these restaurant weeks to promote local business for several years.
Now, that has come to the QCA
The point of the effort is to get people to recognize local restaurants and see what is in their own backyards. So, places all over the Quad Cities are hoping to draw in new customers or even people who just haven't gone out in awhile.
Even though it has only been a day - patrons and owners alike are enjoying this new Quad Cities tradition.
"As a new restaurant, it's important for us to get our name out there and become a part of the restaurant community locally, here," said Wesley Ludloff, co-owner of Pepperjacks.
"I think it's a great idea. There are a lot of people who are putting in a lot of hard work and effort into giving us great service," said one diner at Pepperjacks, Roberta Pulse.
Restaurant Week runs through Sunday, March 2nd.
Most places have a $15 two-for-the-price-of-one lunch deal, and a $25 multi-course dinner.
