Some Cordova residents are on edge after a suspicious person stopped by several homes.  

A woman claimed to be a census bureau employee but tonight we learned that she is not.

"She had a badge on so I thought that was appropriate," a concerned resident said.

Some residents who did not want to be identified say a short heavyset woman with sandy blonde hair knocked on doors looking for an address.

     

Census officials confirmed her green badge was fake and the name on the badge was not a current employee in their system. Census employees wear a white badge and people can go online to check to see if the census is conducting a survey in your area.
