Clinton At Benghazi Hearings

Hillary Clinton was on the defensive today, four months after the Benghazi attack.

Lawmakers were given the opportunity to question Secretary of State Hillary Clinton about what went wrong, who was to blame and how to prevent deadly attacks like this one.

Clinton defended her handling of the September 11th assault while still accepting responsibility as head diplomat.

"I stood next to President Obama as the Marines carried those flag-draped caskets off the plane at Andrews," Clinton said. "I put my arms around the mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers, sons and daughters."

Clinton said she was aware of last summer's attempt on the life of the British ambassador in Benghazi and the I.E.D. attack on the U.S. consulate wall.

She claimed a request for more security never came to her desk and she said she was determined to leave the state department safer and more secure before she steps down in a couple of weeks.
