Moline mayor Don Welvaert gave his final state of the city address today.
"Unlike the past five years, the 2013 budget began with a deficit less that $1,000,000, the first time since 2007," Welvaert said.
He talked about the growth of the city and gave praises to the city council and staff for working together to get tasks accomplished.
The current pro-tem mayor Scott Raes is running uncontested for the mayor position.
Walvaert said Raes knows economic development and has served as Alderman for two terms.
