Congressman Dave Loebsack is visiting the Quad Cities this week during his business tour. He'll be touring area businesses to find out what needs and concerns workers are having during these financially uncertain times.
He made a stop at Isabel Bloom in Davenport today for a tour of the facility. Last year the company was named one of the Quad City Chamber's small businesses of the year. Loebsack says he wanted to get feedback from owners on how congress can help. Of the business tour, the Congressman said "Mainly, I'm trying to find out as much as I can about the particular business. And then I ask them, what can we do at the federal level in Congress to help them? Whether it has to do with health care issues, tax issues or workforce issues - whatever the case may be."
Tomorrow, Loebsack will continue his tour. He plans to stop at Fabricators Plus in Muscatine.
