A Bettendorf gas station may not face fines after customers complained of tainted fuel.
An Iowa Department of Agriculture inspector did not suspect any wrong doing by the B.P. Gas station.
"If it's not anything malice then we can't, there is no fine," Bureau Chief of Iowa Department of Agriculture Michael Manahl said. "If they will need to repair it and fix the issue in which they have done and if the issue doesn't get fixed then there is some fines that can be served."
It is believed the gas was contaminated with large amounts of water but that hasn't been confirmed. Water could have come from a leak or breakage under ground.
