Clinton County is talking about a new ordinance that aims to cut down on underage drinking.
"There's never a safe situation with teenagers and alcohol," Clinton County Attorney Mike Wolf said. "We want to send that message loud and clear that we don't provide a place, don't provide a haven for those type of activities."
If would hold people responsible for having underage drinking parties whether they're home or not.
The new rule doesn't override Iowa's state law that allows minors to drink in the presence of their parent.
