The latest information from the government shows the number of homeless people dropped over the last year, or at least that's true in the majority of states. Unfortunately, as we head into another winter, the number of homeless in Illinois is still cause for great concern.
New numbers from the Department of Housing and Urban Development show an increase in the number of homeless people in Illinois this year compared to last year, and according to one local shelter, the numbers aren't surprising.
