The mystery is solved: it's a Walmart Superstore that's coming to Rock Island. There's been a big deal in the works to buy up property along 11th Street including Watch Tower Plaza.
City Council voted to buy ten properties, demolish them, and make room for a Walmart, a new development that will bring hundreds of jobs and new life to an area that needs it the most.
