Davenport's plan to buy the Rhythm City Casino and make it a land-based operation got a big boost today.
City leaders, the current owners, and the non-profit that holds the gambling license all met with the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission in Des Moines. The $46 million casino deal could now be finalized early next year.
Between now and then, Davenport is busy with proposals from developers and plans to run the entire casino operation.
