It's been talked about for years, but plans are moving forward to finally bring an Amtrak passenger line from Chicago to the Quad Cities. Along that route are thousands of people in Geneseo who make regular trips to both the Windy City and the Quad Cities.
Geneseo will get a new train station as a part of this Amtrak project. According to city officials, the new station may not be far from their old one off of 1st Street.
