It's taken more than a year, but the Rock Island Milan School District says that one of its old schools, Audubon Elementary, has been sold, replacing reading, writing, and arithmetic with beef, bagels, and baggers.
Fareway already has a big following with stores in Moline, Davenport, and Bettendorf. Now, the grocer is completing its presence in the four Quad Cities with plans to build a new store in Rock Island.
