An annual celebration raised money to help the homeless in the Quad Cities. The 3rd annual Humility of Mary New Orleans Jazz Brunch took place at Crow Valley Golf Club in Davenport. Humility of Mary Housing began 22 years ago, and since then has helped 700 families in the Quad Cities.
Across the river, people gathered in Rock Island to empower women at the 2nd annual Quad City Phoenix Festival. The music and arts fest raises awareness for domestic violence and focuses on healing through art. The event also raised money for domestic violence and homeless shelters of the Quad Cities.
