
The drought is having a major impact on area farmers, and Congressman Dave Loebsack wanted to see for himself.
He toured a farm in Muscatine County. Loebsack says he wants Congress to pass the Farm Bill by the end of September to extend more help to those hit by the drought.
On this farm, owners say the ears of corn are smaller and have fewer kernels, and some stalks don't have any ears at all. Loebsack says Congress can't wait.
