Drought conditions are forcing everyone to use more water, and in one Quad City community it's a new record.
The city of Moline pumped out more than 8 million gallons in a single day during the recent heat wave. On a typical summer day, the water plant averages just over 6 million gallons.
Moline's water is pumped from the Mississippi so running dry is not an issue, but pumping that much water means extra work for water crews.
