RAGBRAI Accident - FOX 18 - Quad Cities News and Weather

Rescue teams air-lifted an injured bike rider early this morning after he was hit by a truck on the RAGBRAI route.

Deputies say Major Dennis Murphy and a group of Army Reserve troops were riding to Lake View, Iowa at about 5:30 a.m.  Investigators say as the cyclists were riding single file along the road, a truck hit Murphy from behind.

Murphy is listed in good condition at a Des Moines hospital.
