
The drought is threatening more crops than just corn and soy beans. Flower growers say their business is in jeopardy. The extreme weather means tough conditions and a lot of water.
Businesses that rely on the Mississippi River are also feeling the tough effects of the drought. Unusually shallow water is a very serious concern for barge lines right now. So much so that it's forcing Midwest companies to lighten their loads so their barges don't run aground.
