Time to say Goodbye

I have a bitter sweet announcement to make today. My last day on FOX 18 is two weeks from today. I'm excited to say I have accepted a position as a weekend anchor in Salt Lake City. The job offers new challenges and opportunities. Plus, as illustrated in this blog, I love the outdoors and can't wait to go play in the mountains and the amazing landscapes of Utah.

But I'm sad to be leaving the Quad Cities. I have met so many amazing people here that I will miss. From all my co-workers at KLJB and WQAD to you, the viewers who have welcomed me into your homes every night. I moved here not knowing a single person and you have all made me feel at home. I will cherish the memories I made from RAGBRAI to Race for the Cure. I'm leaving the Quad Cities a better journalist and a better person. To me there is no better way to leave a place.
