July 4th celebrations stretched all across the Quad City area today.
In Bettendorf, thousands of people lined the streets for the annual parade. The 10:00 start time was a big help, keeping everybody a little bit cooler in the sizzling sun.
Plenty of water was passed around in East Moline for both those watching and waving along the parade route. Floats filled the downtown as bands, veterans, politicians, and others enjoyed the celebration. Some of those bands have been practicing in this weather, but they still had plenty of water nearby just to make sure no one overheated.
