Quinn Unveils $2.7 billion in Cuts to Medicaid

Calling it Illinois' rendezvous with reality, Governor Pat Quinn released his proposed budget Wednesday complete with massive closures and cuts including $2.7 billion to Medicaid. During his budget address in Springfield, Gov. Quinn says Illinois must reconsider the groups eligible for Medicaid, the services it provides, how the services are used and how to pay for them. And he says the state must protect against fraud and abuse.
