Thousands in Illinois to Get Tax Refunds Late

60,000 people in Illinois are waiting for their delayed tax returns. Department of Revenue spokesperson Sue Hofer says the delay in refunds is due to a delay in Washington.  Because of the last minute changes in the tax code, the state of Illinois was not able to update its system. 

Hofer claims - despite the states financial situations - it is not a money issue and refunds will start to be issued this week.
