Bettendorf Parks Board Considers "Appearance" Policy

Bettendorf Park Board is looking at a policy that would limit the displaying of some tattoos and piercings at the city's parks and pools.

Park and Recreation Director Steve Grimes says the discussion started when a guest at Splash Landing complained about what they said was an inappropriate tattoo on another guest. Grimes said this new policy would look into ways to help direct employees on how to handle those situations. The policy would address issues of  "decency" of guest.
