As Iowa lawmakers debate over traffic enforcement cameras a local hospital says they're a contributing factor in the decline of traffic crashes.
The debate is over red light and speed cameras. Republicans and democrats in Des Moines aren't sure there's support for an outright ban. Davenport Mayor Bill Gluba wants to keep them. So, does the Davenport Police Department which says in 2009, there was a 60 percent drop in the number of crashes at red light camera intersections. And the next year, a 35 percent drop. It's a conclusion Genesis Health System supports.
