Cameras Now Allowed in Illinois Courts

A historic ruling handed down by the Illinois Supreme Court allows cameras in state courtrooms. The high court announced the ruling Tuesday. 

Cameras will be allowed on an experimental basis in certain cases, giving the public a front row seat to the justice system. 

Chief Justice Tom Kilbride says Tuesday's ruling is another step toward transparency and accountability in the Illinois Court System.
