John Beard Moving to the Quad Cities represents a big move for John. He's never lived this far north. John grew up along the Gulf of Mexico, and worked in Tennessee and Mississippi before becoming a member of the FOX18 Team. However, the Midwest is not completely foreign to his family. His wife spent her high school years in the Twin Cities. John came to FOX 18 from Columbus, MS. He spent two years anchoring WCBI's evening news, after a stint as weekend sports anchor. Sports is no longer his profession, but it's still a passion. He follows the Braves in baseball season, the Saints (or Aints) in football season and his beloved LSU Tigers in all seasons. And he plays everything: tennis, softball, basketball, whatever. John has a wonderful wife, Amy, and a beautiful little girl, Alex. If you see them around town, stop and say hello. John has a Blog, "The Sheer Beard" please visit his blog for more information - " The Sheer Beard"

Pat Walker Pat began his broadcast career in Columbus, Mississippi, as a fill-in meteorologist for WCBI. Pat then moved to the West Texas city of San Angelo where he launched the weather department for KSAN. He then moved into the heart of Tornado Alley when he became the Chief Meteorologist at KSWO in Lawton, Oklahoma. Originally from Arkansas, Pat has lived his entire life in the South until moving to the Quad Cities. After all those years in the heat and humidity, he is glad to be living in the Midwest. When he is not busy forecasting for the Quad City area, Pat keeps up with his favorite team—the Arkansas Razorbacks. He is also a big fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Green Bay Packers. Pat holds the Seal of Approval from the National Weather Association and is a licensed Amateur Radio Operator.
Roland Glembine Roland admittedly bleeds black and gold, so returning to the Hawkeye State to work for Fox 18 was an easy decision. The University of Iowa graduate returns to Big Ten country after spending three years anchoring sports in Albuquerque, NM. Roland says he had nothing to do with former Iowa basketball coach Steve Alford leaving Iowa City for Albuquerque, but will gladly take credit from those fans who want to give it. After graduating from the University of Iowa in 1995 Roland moved to Atlanta hoping to land a job covering the Olympics. He was able to talk Radio Atlanta into hiring him for the impressive salary of "free". He says it was worth every penny. In 1997 Roland landed his first paying job in television, in Roswell, NM. The station was just a block away from the International U.F.O. museum. Roland's friends and family say he has not been the same since. Roland has also worked at stations in Cedar Rapids, and Dubuque and says covering sports for passionate Midwest fans like himself is where he belongs. Roland has a wonderful wife, Lauree, and the couple is expecting their first child in the fall.
Kurt Liske Growing up in the QC area and graduating from North Scott High School in 2002 means Kurt, like most folks in this area, is an avid Hawkeye fan. But his first love is the Chicago Cubs, and no matter how they do they’ll always be number one in Kurt’s book, although he admits, “it is easier to be fan some years more than others.” Kurt is an active young man and whether it’s softball, tennis, golf, or just about anything else there’s a good chance that Kurt enjoys it. Fishing however is Kurt’s favorite hobby, and he’s always looking for new spots, so feel free to tip him off if you see him out and about.

Bill Sindewald Bill started working at Fox 18 in the summer of 2008 after graduating from the University of Iowa with a journalism degree. He started working behind the scenes as a news producer and started working as one of the station's reporters in July of 2009. Bill has also spent time on the camera as a sports anchor at Fox 18. While at the University of Iowa, Bill stayed busy working at the college's TV Station (Daily Iowan Television), waiting tables and playing water polo on the school's club team. At DITV, Bill worked as a reporter covering the women's swimming and tennis teams. Bill's favorite story featured him trying to learn how to dive competitively. Ouch! He also spent time anchoring sports on the university's radio station and worked as an intern with the Big Ten Network. He got his first taste of what working in television would be like while interning at WHO-TV in Des Moines. Bill is originally from the Chicago suburb of Orland Park, where he grew up with his fraternal triplet sisters. (Yes Bill is a triplet!) While growing up, Bill spent most of his childhood either fighting with his sisters (He doesn't now) or doing something sports related. Getting a chance to report and anchor sports at Fox 18 is a big part of Bill's dream to get back to the Chicago-land area and work for Comcast Sports Net. When Bill is not at work or watching his favorite teams (Cubs, Bears, Bulls), he likes to go running and play basketball. His other interests include fantasy sports, bean bags and ping pong. He also enjoys watching movies and his favorite TV shows. EMAIL : BSindewald@inn-news.net

Phil Doherty Phil is a baritone and spent some time in Europe studying opera. Prior to getting into television, he embarked on a brief career as a singer, but later found the newsroom to be a lot more fun than the stage. Anyway, he's happy to be back in the Quad Cities working with the community and the great team at Fox 18. When he's not at work, Phil still likes to partake in and teach singing. He's also busy writing a book that, like most would-be writers, he will probably never finish.
